BeyondHuman’s currency is the lifeblood of the game. It is called COGS and it drives player incentives. Scavenge peacefully to slowly build your supply or betray players for a larger pay off.
COGS can only be acquired by playing. Currency is not sold direct to players, although players can trade the currency between themselves.
Acquire as many COGS as you can – for status today and your survival tomorrow.

Fixed Supply and Issuance
There will only ever be a 21 million COGS. As the project progresses, the issuance slowly reduces until all COGS have been distributed.
This system maintains the in-game value for players.
A Fair Opportunity
The only way you can ever acquire COGS is by playing the game or buying from other players
There is no allocation for the development team, investors, partners or promoters.
Economic Flow
The flow of currency in BeyondHuman starts via the issuance of COGS via Grid Game into the hands of players. It can then be transferred between players or spent in the shop. COGS received by the shop are deposited into the BeyondHuman Treasury – to be used for project development, rewards and promotion. As development progresses, this flow will become more complex and the diagram below will be updated.

COGS on chain
The COGS currency database uses blockchain technology for ledger management. This infrastructure creates an economic system that benefits players:

Rationale play: As COGS have a real world value, players make rational decisions. This tightens the game theory element of the BeyondHuman experience.

Provable Supply: the total supply of 21 million tokens can be audited, so you know exactly how much value you hold compared to the game’s economy.

Ownership: you can remove your assets from the game to exercise true permissionless ownership.

P2P trading: You can use third-party platforms to realise value that you have accrued in game.
